We do not have to do it alone

I had stopped blogging because I was feeling discouraged because I do not have tons of followers like other blogs that I follow and I was beginning to feel like maybe what I had to say was not interesting enough and with those thoughts I started getting writers block. I have now decided that I need to quit worrying about the numbers and just do it because it is something I enjoy and a way to journal my life. Hopefully I did not lose the readers I did have.  :)
Lately I have been beginning to feel really beat down. It seemed that if something could go wrong then it did and I was beginning to get really discouraged. Along with a couple other things we were down to 1 vehicle for 3 of us to use. 2 of us needed to get to work (I thankfully was not one of them) and I was beginning to feel very discouraged and trying to figure out what to do. God decided to speak to me through some really great people about getting through the storms of life. I am a member of an awesome Trinity Choir family. It is an amazing group of singers that perform an Easter cantata at different churches for about a month up until Easter. The group has become very special to me and I feel like they are  family. A gentleman gave an awesome devotion about lifting your problems up to God and allowing him to handle them and the next week a lady gave a devotion about trusting God to handle the situations that come up in life. To have a peace knowing that God is in control and he has "got this". We need to be able to "sleep in the boat" during the storms of life because we know that God is taking care of us. Isn't it amazing the way that God speaks to us? I believe that one of the things that happened with the truck was God protecting us. The truck began overheating so Doug had to fix it and while he was fixing it he found another problem with some kind of spring that was making it dangerous to drive. If he had not been fixing the coolant leak then he may not have found the other problem until something bad happened. The Lord works in such amazing ways!

Matthew 8:23-26 23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24 Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
26 He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

Have a blessed day!!

  1. Oh how wonderful the thought of Jesus in every situation in life. God is the author and finisher of our faith and He cares about every little detail of our lives. Praise God for the times when He picks us up and brushes us off and say's it will be ok, through a nugget here that we read, or a nugget there through conversation with a friend. We all need each other and although we may not see what God is doing through all that is happening in our lives we can trust it is for our Best, like the finding of the spring which could have brought much danger. Praise God for His divine intervention in our lives and for the love He can bring to us just when we need it most. Relationships are very important and we must remember we are never alone as long as we have Jesus! He makes life worth living and He brings a message out of the mess! He can turn the victim into a victor! There is nothing we cannot do if we turn it over to Him. We can do all things through Christ who gives us the strength! I love you my bosom friend!
